WHAT HAPPENED?
Liverpool are interested in signing Parma defender Leoni, per Corriere dello Sport, as the Reds bid to fend off competition from Serie A suitors. Inter Milan, AC Milan, and Juventus are all reported to hold an interest in the teenager, with the Nerazzurri leading the race.

The Reds have made contact to gauge the feasibility of a deal to sign Leoni. The teenager has won seven caps for Italy's U19 side, and enjoyed a breakthrough season in Serie A last term, playing 17 times in the league. He can operate as both a centre-back and a right-back.
